WHMIS Training

Summary

Delivered in partnership with Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety (CCOHS), WHMIS is a comprehensive Canadian hazard communication system that provides health and safety information on hazardous products in Canadian workplaces. Workers that use or could be exposed to these products need to be educated and trained on WHMIS. Learning about WHMIS is part of the knowledge that you need to protect yourself and your co-workers from hazardous products.

Learning Goals and Objectives

WHMIS training includes:

Overview of WHMIS, including legislation, education and training
Hazard classification
WHMIS labels
Communicating physical hazards
Communicating health hazards
Safety data sheets
